Bice: Findings in Grade-Changing Probe 'Troubling'
Alabama's schools superintendent says a state investigation into grade-changing allegations at Montgomery Public Schools has turned up "significant findings." Superintendent of Education Tommy Bice tells The Montgomery Advertiser Bice said the findings uncovered in the investigation are serious enough that he planned to spend part of the upcoming holiday period reviewing the documents. State officials have been investigating allegations of widespread cheating in the Montgomery system. The Advertiser has reported that employees who entered computer data at two Montgomery high schools say they witnessed school administrators violating school policy to help students achieve higher grades with little or no work.
