Update: Body of Missing Butler Co. Man Found

CBS 8 News is covering Butler County where the body of a missing elderly man suffering from Alzheimer's disease was discovered Wednesday afternoon.

The body of 77 year old, Billy Heartsill, was found on Poorhouse Road about half a mile from his home on Rocky Road.

Authorities say it is a very wooded area just off the main road.  Several groups searched tirelessly for days on end, but they had not looked that far from the home.

Butler County Sheriff, Kenny Harden, says they planned to bring in more dogs and expand the search area this coming weekend.

But he tells CBS 8 yesterday and today, he drove the streets himself-- and today discovered the body.

Heartsill was a former teacher at Greenville High School.
