Brantwood Children's home in Montgomery hosted a big yard sale to raise money for abandoned or homeless children who make Brantwood their home.

More than one hundred people shopped at the yard sale, staked out at the state farmers market.

The yard sale sold a variety of goods such as furniture, clothes, and toys.

100-percent of the proceeds raised go towards up to 36 children at the Brantwood home.

Kim Herbert, Executive Director of Brantwood Children's Home, says it's about connecting the community with the kids.

"You know I met a couple who purchased some items here, but then they told me how they could serve our children. How they could connect and mentor kids or help them with the business they have or maybe with a job possibility," said Herbert.

The Brantwood Children's home provides a safe, stable, and loving home for abused and neglected children.
