Buckmasters is back and bigger than ever. The 19th annual Buckmasters Expo is bringing in thousands of outdoorsmen and women from all over the country to downtown Montgomery.

The Buckmasters Expo kicked off Friday afternoon. There are new vendors this year and fun for the whole family, so the crowd is expected to be a large one.

For those who love hunting and outdoor activities the Renaissance in downtown Montgomery is the place to be this weekend.

Buckmasters is the largest event its kind with close to 250,000 members.

The CEO and founder of Buckmasters, Jackie Bushman, says last years' record breaking expo brought in 40,000 people.

He says it's all because the hunting inidustry is huge. It's a billion dollar business.

"Everybody loves the outdoors. It's a big deal here in the state of Alabama," said Bushman, "We've got folks here that have been to 19 of our expos and we've got folks here from 41 states. They make their vacation to come to Buckmasters."

The thousands in town for the event is not only good news for Buckmasters, but also great news for the city of Montgomery.

Doors will be open on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. It costs one can of food to get in and that goes to the Salvation Army.
