City of Montgomery Names Two Municipal Judges

The city of Montgomery has announced the appointment of two new municipal judges.

Mayor Todd Strange has recommended the appointment of Milton J. Westry to a two-year municipal court judge position to the Montgomery City Council. He will take the bench on July 9and will work 14 dockets per month.

In addition, a committee handling the search recognized Lloria Munnerlyn-James as being an excellent candidate for municipal court judge and said she should be considered for a less than full-time placement when an opportunity presented itself. She will also take the bench on July 9 and will work three dockets per month with emphasis on domestic violence.

The official swearing-in ceremony will take place on July 13 at 3 p.m. at municipal court. Judge Charles Price will preside over the swearing-in.
