A Crenshaw County restaurant destroyed in a fire has now reopened.

The restaurant in Highland Home called "It Don't Matter" burned down last August. The new restaurant building is bigger.. and is able to hold more than 200 customers.

Owner "Big" Pete Hayes says he's been working for months for this day.

"We've had thousands asking, 'When are we going to open?'. We had people in the community always ask when are we going to open, thank God we're open today," Hayes told Alabama News Network.

The restaurant's reopening has brought more than 30 jobs to the community.
