Cyclist Dies After Collision With Vehicle

On Monday, Aug. 5, 2013, at approximately 8:30 p.m., Montgomery Police and Fire medics responded to the 1400 block of Mobile Road in reference to a collision involving a bicyclist and a motor vehicle.

The cyclist, Timothy Odom, 42, was transported to Baptist Medical Center South where he later was pronounced dead. The driver of the motor vehicle, a Chevy Suburban, was uninjured. 

MPD's investigation into this traffic crash is ongoing, and no further information is available for release at this time. This is Montgomery's 11th traffic fatality for 2013.
