Dallas Co. Deputies Investigate Fatal ShootingDallas Co. Sheriff's deputies are investigating the shooting death of a man in the Minter community. Sheriff Harris Huffman says 47-year-old J.C. Gaines was shot to death with an assault rifle after an argument led to gunfire. He says the shooting happened at around 1 o'clock Sunday morning. Huffman says Gaines died while being taken to the hospital. His body has now been taken to the state forensics department in Montgomery. If you have information on the shooting, call the Dallas Co.
