Montgomery Public Schools are working to get students ready for their future careers with a job fair.

Today, dozens of students came out for the Career Academies and Montgomery Technical Education Center Job Fair at Eastdale Mall.

The fair helps get current eighth grade students interested in the city's career academies. Each of the traditional high schools in Montgomery is hosting an academy.

The skills taught range from engineering and welding to nursing and law enforcement, along with other careers.

Organizers say the fair helps let students know about what opportunities are out there, so they can plan for their futures.

If you're a high school student and did not get a chance to attend the fair, you can speak to your school guidance counselor for more information.
