A tree expert says the famed live oak trees at Auburn's Toomer's Corner are not out of danger after being poisoned more than a year ago.

There is some new growth on the trees, now that warmer weather is causing leaves to sprout.

Toomer's Corner has been Auburn University's celebration spot for decades of victory celebrations.

Harvey Updyke, the man suspected of poisoning the trees after the 2010 Iron Bowl, is awaiting trial.
