Fire Crews Respond Quickly to House Fire

Montgomery Fire Department responded to a house fire just before 2:30 p.m. on the 5900 block of Oakleigh Road.

When fire crews arrived to the home, they found smoke and flames visible.

Officials say the home owner was at home at the time of the fire and sustained first degree burns to her fingers.

The 58 year old female was attempting to extinguish the burning pot that was on the stove.

She was treated at the scene.

The house sustained heavy fire and smoke damage.
