The Goshen High School volleyball team ends their season undefeated. That is a huge accomplishment for any sports team, but what they overcame is even more impressive. This year head coach Dee Hughes was missing.

She coached the volleyball and softball teams for more than 10 years. Hughes was battling breast cancer for the past two years and lost her fight at the end of September. She was 43 years old. The girls used her fight as motivation and they say they learned many lessons from her.

The varsity team said- "There's a lot of people that are going to doubt you but you can't be one of them... Always fight for what we wanted. Never give up."

Another lesson Hughes passed on, never settle. They have now shifted their focus to state playoffs this Friday and Saturday.
