If you have a horse, it's that time of year again heath officials are urging people to get their horses vaccinated.

Officials say a chicken in Mobile County tested positive for eastern equine encephalitis.

Horse owners should have their animals vaccinated against encephalitis and the West Nile virus.

They should call a veterinarian immediately if symptoms are observed.

Officials say eastern equine encephalitis can be more dangerous to people than other illnesses caused by mosquito bites.

There is no vaccine for humans.
