Heart For Homeschooling Conference Held In Montgomery

 Research points to home schooling as the fastest growing form of education in the United States, including families right here in Montgomery. 

 
Some of those families connected at Eastwood Presbyterian Church's first Heart for Homeschooling Conference. 
 
Dozens of mothers listened to speakers and learned about resources available in the Montgomery area.
 
Many see conditions and controversy in Montgomery Public Schools as reasons to teach their children at home. 
 
Traci Creel said, "These women who have tried many curriculums and to be able to ask them and engage with them for what worked for them and their children and their child's personality and that sort of thing it's really exciting for me to learn."
 
The mothers who homeschooled stressed it's not for everyone. But that it's becoming easier with the ability to use videos and technology to teach.
