From the West Alabama Newsroom--   A house fire has left a Selma family struggling to put their life back in order during the Christmas holidays.

Mary Bennett and her family are living in a hotel after a recent fire at their home on the 1400 block of Church Street.

Bennett says the Christmas season only makes the hardship they're going through seem even harder to deal with.

"At Christmas time, we are homeless," said Bennett. "There is no Christmas for us. Its just another day to us cause we been burned out."

The American Red Cross is providing some assistance to the family.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
