Hundreds of Jobs Coming to TuskegeeGood economic news for the city of Tuskegee. A new industry is coming to town, and it's bringing with it 300 new jobs. Mayor Omar Neal says economic development has come to Tuskegee in a big way. This fall, a manufacturing plant will open here off Highway 199 creating 120 jobs. The company manufactures energy-efficient mobile homes and commercial structures. CSSI will start building a manufacturing plant this fall. Once that's complete 120 jobs will open. And down the line, the company will expand and hire another 180 people. Neal says the new jobs come at a critical time. He says the community has been in devastation after losing more than 2,000 jobs when Victoryland closed. CSSI representatives say they chose Tuskegee, because it's close to Atlanta and the international aviation market. |
