Investigation into UPS Cargo Jet Crash Continues

By Alabama News Network

Federal investigators continue their investigation into the crash of a UPS cargo jet that crashed last Wednesday in Birmingham, killing both pilots.
National Transportation and Safety Board officials say cockpit controls were working and matched positions of the airplane's flaps and rudders before the crash. Investigators said earlier that they hadn't seen any problems with the planes engines.

However, a cockpit warning went off right before the plane crashed. This warning meant that the plane was descending faster than normal. The plane's data recorder revealed that the autopilot was on, but officials say that is not unusual. We'll bring you the latest on the investigation as we get it.
