Montgomery Police make an arrest in the 12th homicide of 2013.

Police arrested Curtis Caldwell, 47, of Montgomery on Friday, March 8 for the murder of 70 year old Jesse Stevens.

Montgomery Police say Caldwell was taken into custody by the U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force.

On Saturday, March 2, Montgomery Police and Fire Medics responsed to a call on the 100 block of Debra Drive. Stevens was found with trauma to the head and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say their initial investigation indicated that Stevens’ death was the result of a robbery. Further investigation identified Caldwell, a neighbor, as a suspect.

Caldwell is charged with Capital Murder and is being held without bond.
