Man Charged with Starting Troy Apartment Fire

Troy Police have arrested a man after an apartment fire. 

Jeremy Jerome Owens is charged with arson after Troy Police say he intentionally started a fire at the Oakdale Apartment complex.  Four apartments were damaged. 

Witnesses told investigators they saw Owens put some type of accelerant into his apartment and flee. 

He was stopped by police on the Troy Uuniversity campus.

He's facing charges of resisting arrest, assault on a police officer after allegedly biting a university cop, and hindering government operations.
