We're taking action against crime tonight -- helping Butler County deputies find a murder suspect who they say failed to show up for her trial. Tonight, the family of the man she's accused of killing is speaking out to us.

As of today, you'll see fliers like this one posted all around Butler County. Deputies say Barbara Wood failed to show up to her trial for the murder of Steven Faulk, so now they're asking your help to find her.

Della Owens says a year and half isn't enough to get over the murder of her son. Steven Faulk was found dead in the front yard of a home on Pettibone Road in December 2012. Barbara Wood was taken into custody. Here's what she told us on the night of her arrest...

"Somebody broke into my house, somebody ran into my house trying to kill me!" Said Wood.

Wood has since been charged with Faulk's murder, but has been out on a $123,000 bond. But on her trial day, she was no where to be found.

A warrant is out for Wood's arrest.

"Someone out there knows where she is and I'm begging for them to please, in God's good conscious, turn her in," Said Owens.

And for the last four days, all Butler County deputies have been searching for her.

"We've checked her parents house and we've checked her house, trying to get in contact with any friends she may have and we've been trying to locate her vehicle," Said Butler County Sheriff, Kenny Harden.

No one was home. So until then, fliers and more fliers have been posted by the Owens around Butler County. Hoping someone has answers to where Wood could be.

"I'm asking you... don't make yourself get into more trouble because it is a crime to harbor a criminal... to call someone and have her picked up," Said Owens.

Deputies say Wood was last seen driving a 2001 grey Kia Sephia. The tag number for that car is 10AH142 -- that's a Butler County tag.

Deputies say because Wood did not show up for trial, it's likely she will not get another bond set.

If you have any information about where she can be found, call the Butler County Sheriff's Office at 382-6521.
