Missing Person's Case Becomes Murder Investigation in Selma

From the West Alabama Newsroom--  A Selma man is behind bars after a missing person's case -- turns into a murder investigation.

Nineteen year old Ronald Mitchell is charged with murder in the shooting death of 22 year old Micah Johnson.

Police Chief William Riley says Mitchell confessed to the shooting under questioning and actually took investigators to Johnson's body and his missing car. Riley says the murder is the city's second this year.

"The investigation is still on-going we are trying to determine exactly what may have lead up to the shooting and the death of this victim," said Riley.

Johnson was reported missing on Tuesday when he didn't return home or call.

Mitchell is being held in the Dallas County Jail on $3 million dollars bond.
