Robbery Suspect Shot and Killed in Montgomery

Police are conducting a death investigation after a shooting at a Montgomery gas station

Montgomery police say a man entered a gas station in the 2300 block of West South Boulevard last night around 8:30 and allegedly demanded money.

Officers say he walked behind the counter and a struggle began with the clerk.

During that struggle, Willis was shot and killed. The clerk was not injured, and no charges have been filed.

 

Police say the suspect was 40-year-old Robert James Willis and he was armed with a handgun.
