It's been a busy night for Police. A body was found, a person was shot and the RSA building was evacuated after a threat was called in.

Around 5:30 Tuesday afternoon, police were called to the corner of Tuscaloosa and South Jackson Street in Montgomery, just one block from Alabama State University. An adult male had been shot and killed.

"Right now we're investigating all leads," says Lieutenant Matthew Mara. "We do not know how many suspects we have at the time. We're still gathering information in reference to the shooting."

A bicycle was in the middle of the road, blocked off by crime scene tape. Montgomery police say they don't know if the bike is associated with the man who was shot. But neighbors say they believe the two are connected.

"He always rode that bike," says Ryan Calhoun. "He was a good person. He was maybe 27, 28, 29, no older than 30. Pretty laid back guy."

"He didn't bother nobody," says Crystal Johnson. "He knew me since I was a little girl. We used to always joke and play but he never bothered nobody."

In downtown Montgomery, the RSA Tower had to be evacuated, after a threat was called in. The building was put on lockdown, while MPD's SWAT team conducted a sweep of the building. Nothing was found and Montgomery police are still investigating.

Montgomery Police are also now working a death investigation, after a body was found late Tuesday afternoon at 5200 block of Old Hayneville Rd. Authorities have not yet released any details about the body and say foul play is not suspected.
