An early morning stabbing leaves one man dead and another behind bars.

Montgomery Police say Douglas Segers, 44, was fatally stabbed at approximately 1:30 a.m. Saturday. Segers was pronounced dead at the scene, in the area of South Court and Early Street.

The initial police investigation shows Segers and 50-year old Charlie Jones had an argument that officers believe caused Jones to stab Segers. Jones was taken into custody and is being charged with murder. He was transported to the Montgomery County Detention Facility and is being held under a $75,000 bond.

This investigation is continuing, and no further information is available at this time.
