Tuesday afternoon shots were fired in the Eastdale Mall parking lot, in broad daylight. One man is in the hospital, two suspects are in custody, and shoppers are left stunned.

Montgomery Police say a man was shot multiple times and two suspects attempted to flee the scene.

Not long after, in a joint effort between police and mall security, the two suspects were placed under arrest.

The mall manager and police say they don't believe the suspects were mall customers, but instead were there targeting a specific person.

Regardless, mall customers say they still feel unsafe.

"Me and my family, we like to come to the mall and shop a little bit, but I feel like it's unsafe if I can't bring my family out in public because shooting and stuff like that is going on," said mall customer, Larry Griffin.

"There ain't no side really safe," said Sean Ralph, who was just in the area picking up his wife from work.

The shooting is still under investigation.

Police say the victim is in critical but stable condition. There is still no further information on what charges the two suspects will face.
