The Bullock County Sheriff's Office is investigating its first moonshine bust of the year. Investigators found a 20-barrel still near County Road 176 in the Highlog community near Fitzpatrick on Wednesday afternoon.

They say they got a tip about the still from nearby residents who reported suspicious activity at night. Bullock County Sheriff Raymond Rodgers tells CBS 8 News the still was capable of producing between $2,000 and $3,000 worth of illegal alcohol every week.

"By the way it was looking, this one was probably one of the newest ones, I'd say about maybe a month at the most. It had been recently put up," said Rodgers.

Rodgers says no one was found near the still. No arrests have been made.
