More Information Released about Alexander City Shooting Deaths

By Glenn Halbrooks

Alexander City police continue their investigation after two people were found dead in a home last Wednesday.

Police tell Alabama News Network that it appears to be a murder-suicide case.

They say the bodies of 30-year-old Nerberto Martinez Torrez and 32-year Windy Zarrable were found in a home in the 1600 block of Worthy Road.

Zarrable was found with two gunshot wounds, while Torrez had a single wound. Police say the two were in a relationship and living together.

Investigators think the shootings happened last Monday night or early Tuesday morning, but the bodies weren't discovered until a family member searched for them Wednesday.
