Official: Colorado Theatre Shooting Suspect Not TalkingClick here for CBS News Coverage of the Colorado Theatre Shooting Massacre James Holmes, the suspect in a shooting that killed or wounded 71 people in suburban Denver is reportedly not talking to investigators. A law enforcement official briefed on the investigation told The Associated Press that the 24-year-old Holmes has asked for a lawyer. The official spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss the ongoing case. The person also says police found jars of chemicals in Holmes' booby trapped Aurora apartment with wires nearby. A major federal, state and local investigation is underway into the shooting in Aurora, Colorado, during midnight shows of the new Batman movie. Twelve of the 71 people who were shot have died. A federal law enforcement official says Holmes bought a ticket to the midnight showing of the latest Batman movie and went into the theater as part of the crowd.
The official also says Holmes is believed to have propped open an exit door in the theater as the movie was playing, donned protective ballistic gear and opened fire.
