One person was killed this morning in a three-car wreck on U.S. Highway 231 in Montgomery County.
The crash happened just before 11:00 a.m. at the 170 mile marker.
State troopers say an SUV traveling north crossed the median and hit an 18-wheeler headed south. A third car was involved when it struck debris from the crash.
The driver of the SUV was killed. Troopers say the driver was not wearing a set belt.
A second crash happened as a result of the traffic backup. No one was injured in that wreck.
