By Alabama News Network

With 96% of precincts reporting, Dimitri Polizos and Charlotte Meadows will be moving on to a runoff in the special election to fill the District 74 seat in the Alabama House of Representatives.

Here are the results:

Dimitri Polizos: 1,901 votes  45%

Charlotte Meadows  1,328 votes  32%

Heather Sellers  910 votes  21%

All three candidates are Republicans. Polizos is a Montgomery County Commissioner, while Meadows is the former president of the Montgomery County school board. They will meet in a runoff on Nov. 19.

There are no Democrats in the race, so whoever wins the runoff will win the seat.
