Principal's Drug Arrest Leaves Community in State of Shock
From the CBS 8 West Alabama Newsroom-- The arrest of a Dallas County elementary school principal on federal drug charges Thursday sends shock waves through the local community.
Aaron McKinley is charged with 2 counts of Possession with intent to Distribute the drugs Hydrocodone and Oxycodone. Police say McKinley sold the drugs to an undercover agent in the parking lot of Shiloh Elementary School where he worked as principal. "He was wrong. He was dead wrong," said Sardis resident Otis Baldwin. "Caught him selling drugs on the school campus because I got a child coming up and I'm very protective of him about those drugs." Virginia Earby has owned and operated a small grocery store in Sardis for more than 30 years. "Yes, I was really shocked," she said. "Because principals, parents, clergymen, their all supposed to be role models." McKinley had been principal at Shiloh Elementary for about three years. Most Viewed
