Holiday Season Begins as Christmas Trees Stands Pop Up in Montgomery

For those getting a leg up on Christmas the weekend after Thanksgiving, local vendors began selling Christmas trees for the first time this year.
 
At Adams Tree Farms near St. James School on Vaughn Road, it's the second busiest weekend of the season to buy Frazier Firs.
 
Vendors tell CBS 8 news, business is busier than last year, and they say people are still willing to spend a little green  to see some green in their homes.
 
"It's after Thanksgiving, Christmas season is kicking off, we're getting in the spirit, you've got Christmas music on the radio station," said, John Allen, while shopping for a tree. "I'm trying to get that tree in before the iron bowl so I can watch the game."
 
"This year is stacking up a little bit better than last year and even the year before, so we're hopeful," said Dustin Rodgers, of Rogers Christmas Tree Farms.
 
Tree sellers say the first weekend of December is usually the busiest before Christmas.
