Second Annual River Region Prayer Walk Draws Big Crowds

Hundreds of people gathered

Saturday for the second annual River Region Prayer Walk and organizers say turnout was better than expected.

The group met at the Train shed in downtown montgomery for a prayer and worship service, before heading off on a 5K walk around town.

The walkers identified different groups of people to pray for including local businesses, law enforcement, and government leaders.

It's open to all denominations, ages and people all across the area.

The third annual walk is set for October 24, 2014.
