Selma Police have arrested a suspect on arson charges.

25-year-old Jessie Bell was arrested after Fire Department officials responded to a house fire in the 2300 block of Main Street in Selma Saturday.

After being questioned by a fire chief, Bell confessed to setting the house on fire.

During questioning, Bell said he set the house on fire in retaliation for the home owner having killed his brother in a car accident 15 years ago.

Bell has been charged with second degree arson and is being held in the Dallas County Jail on $30,000 bond.

No one was injured in the fire.
