Exclusive:Sports Analysis from John LongshoreCBS 8 Sports Analyst John Longshore was on CBS 8 News at 6:00 to talk about Alabama's move to the top spot in the football polls and about how Auburn's upcoming game at Mississippi State is a must-win for head coach Gene Chizik. Longshore says the reason Bama was able to become the consensus #1 team in the polls is simple. He says beating a high-quality opponent like Michigan, which had been ranked #8, made all the difference. As for Auburn, he says Chizik will be on the hot seat with a loss at Mississippi State following the season-opening loss to Clemson. Longshore says MSU has come close to beating Auburn in the past.
