Longshore says the reason Bama was able to become the consensus #1 team in the polls is simple. He says beating a high-quality opponent like Michigan, which had been ranked #8, made all the difference. As for Auburn, he says Chizik will be on the hot seat with a loss at Mississippi State following the season-opening loss to Clemson. Longshore says MSU has come close to beating Auburn in the past. But he says the Bulldogs head coach Dan Mullen is also facing a must-win game, so the stakes are high for both coaches. |
