The Rose Supper Club in Montgomery won't be able to sell liquor until at least mid-January.

The Alabama Beverage Control Board held a hearing today on the club's alcohol license suspension.

The suspension will be in effect until the board meets again January 16th.

The club's license was suspended last week.  ABC officials say the suspension is designed to prevent additional trouble.

The nightclub on Highland Avenue has been the scene of fights, stabbings and shootings in recent months.
