Teachers Speak Out About Grade Changing Allegations

By Kristen Fisher

Two Montgomery Public Schools teachers have spoke out about the grade changing allegations.

The women say they felt pressured to make improper grade changes.

They say they were transferred  to other schools after they refused to give students easier work to raise their grades.

They told the board they believe their transfer stemmed from the refusal.

Board members have denied allegations that the two were transferred for that reason.

20 teachers say the witnessed witnessed or participated in thousands of grade changes to lower the district's failure rates.
