A man facing nearly a dozen sexual assault related charges, goes before a judge. Major Wilbur Singleton's case will move to a grand jury after Tuesday's preliminary hearing in Pike County court.

Troy police allege Singleton solicited three underage girls on the Internet. His charges include transmitting obscene material, electronic solicitation, and possessing child pornography. Assistant District Attorney Jon Folmar says each charge could come with up to 20 years in jail.  "To me he's a predator and we take it very serious of predators soliciting our children," he said.

Folmar also said Singleton has a history and failed to register as a sex offender before being arrested on these charges. So he is also facing a failure to register as a sex offender charge. Singleton was arrested in August and remains in Pike County Jail.
