Troy Mayor Talks "State Of City"
Today Troy Mayor Jason Reeves updated residents on the state of the city.
The council is close to passing the approximate $58 million budget. And today at Troy Regional Medical Center's "Female Factor" event downtown, the mayor wanted to update the public about what the city is working on next fiscal year.
The mayor said one of the biggest things will be the launch of the 311 system. Troy residents can call 3-1-1 or use a smart phone app for any non-emergency question or concern in Troy.
Mayor Reeves also heard the audience's concerns, all had to do with roads and traffic.
Troy Mayor Jason Reeves said, "We've had a tremendous amount of rain. It rained 25 out of 31 days in July. So that water adds pressure, adds potholes. There are a lot of things we have dealt with this summer because of the water."
