The trend of downtown revitalization in America continues in the city of Troy. City leaders say they are optimistic as once empty building are filling up along the square.

But, they hope the progress continues and are looking to get grant money to help fund a downtown revitalization plan.

If the city gets the federal funds, the community would help voice their overall vision for the downtown area.

A hearing will be held on Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock in the Troy City Hall chambers.  City leaders need community input as part of the grant writing process.

Planning & Zoning Administrator Melissa Sanders said, "It's also very important in the future of our community. The more involved our community and the citizens and residents are in our community, the stronger our community will be."

Also on Tuesday at the public hearing. The city is looking for input on a grant to improve the water distribution system in Troy.
