Troy football coach Larry Blakeney is supporting a Trojan signee who is among four players charged with breaking into Elba High School.

Coffee County officials say four 18-year-olds are accused of felony burglary after someone entered the school last week. They include Michael Kendez Canta Lindsey, who earned a full scholarship to play football at Troy University.

Blakeney tells The Dothan Eagle he has talked to Lindsey and his coach, and he supports the player. Lindsey was the MVP in the Class 2A state championship game.

Police say the break-in resulted in vandalism that left damage estimated at about $30,000. The school was closed one day while workers cleaned up damage from the break-in.
