Tuskegee University Names Luther Williams to New Position
Luther S. Williams has been promoted to the newly established position of provost and executive vice president at Tuskegee University.
University President Gilbert L. Rochon said Sunday that Williams will take over the new position effective Dec. 1. For the past two years, Williams has served as the university's provost and vice president for academic affairs.
In his new position, Williams will continue as provost, the university's chief academic officer. As executive vice president, Williams will exercise administrative oversight over a number of areas including adequacy of physical facilities and budget and fiscal affairs.
Rochon also announced that Walter A. Hill has been promoted vice provost and dean of the College of Agriculture.
Hill currently serves as director of the George Washington Carver Agricultural Experiment Station.
