Union Springs police believe they've solved the case involving a store owner being shot multiple times.

Police Chief Danny Jackson say Samuel Pruitt and Darrious Davis are believed to be the two gunman responsible for shooting Chubby Ward outside of his store in the Sardis Mobile Home Park at the beginning of April.

Ward survived.

We told you last week the Pruitt and Davis were in custody facing robbery charges, but now we are learning they've also been charged with first degree assault for the shooting.

Police also say Davis and another suspect returned to the store days after the shooting and broke in.

Police say they can link Pruitt to a robbery where shots were fired at a Union Springs Citgo Station in February.
