Two Dead in Accident in Lowndes County

The four vehicle crash happened shortly after 5:00 this morning on U.S. 80 in Lowndes County near Lowndesboro.

Troopers say two other drivers were hurt while trying to avoid Barrow's car before the head-on collision.

Due to the accident, both east bound lanes were closed during this morning's rush hour.

 

State troopers say 39-year-old Sharon Gresham and 60-year-old Pearlie Gresham were killed when their car was hit head-on by 60-year-old Gerald Barrow.
