The civil rights memorial center theater was dedicated in honor of two human rights advocates.

The Southern Poverty Law Center dedicated the Civil Rights Memorial Center Theater in honor of Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Member Mike Stoller and his wife, acclaimed musician Corky Hale Stoller.

Mike created hits "Hound Dog," "Stand by Me," and "Jailhouse Rock," with his songwriting partner.

While Corky has performed with Barbra Streisand, Tony Bennett, Elton John, and many others.

U.S. House Minority Leader Representative Nancy Pelosi also attended the event.
