Authorities say they've barred a University of North Alabama student from the campus after he was accused of sending a threatening text message to a professor.

University Police Chief Robert Pastula says 19-year-old Zachary Allen Riley is charged with making a terrorist threat and harassing communications. It wasn't known early Thursday whether Riley has an attorney.

The Florence TimesDaily reports that Riley is accused of making the threat Tuesday. Pastula said the threat was directed toward a professor and the university. School officials would not elaborate on the language used.
