Toxicology Report To Be Released for Student Killed by USA Officer
An update to the investigation of the former Wetumpka High School wrestler who was shot and killed by a University of South Alabama campus police officer.
The Mobile County district attorney says she hopes to have a toxicology report by the end of the week.
District Attorney Ashley Rich told AL.com she asked the state Department of Forensic Sciences to expedite the report. Since the state lab doesn't test for bath salts, synthetic marijuana or LSD, the samples were sent to an independent lab. The Mobile County Sheriff's investigation showed 18-year-old Gil Collar was on LSD when he was shot by a campus police officer after he went to the campus police station nude and pounded on a window.
