What's Right: Remembering Bluegrass Pioneer
Rex Locklar was the face behind decades of bluegrass music in the Pike County community of Henderson.
Rex died in February at the age of 87. But his friends and fellow bluegrass lovers decided to hold one more bluesgrass festival, so they could pay tribute to him.
Locklar started the festivals in Henderson in the 1960s. Twice each year, hundreds of pickers and their families would arrive for a weekend full of music, laughter and good times.
They hope to see each other at other festivals throughout the South, just not in Henderson. It just wouldn't be the same without Ol' Rex.
