From the CBS 8 West Alabama Newsroom-- A Wilcox County man pleads guilty in the 2011 stabbing death of his ex-girlfriend.

Anthony Nicholson got a 28 year prison sentence after pleading guilty to murder.

Nicholson stabbed 34 year old Tiffany Jowers to death in her front yard-- while she was holding her one month old baby.

Wilcox County District Attorney Michael Jackson says it was a case of domestic violence that turned deadly.

“She was the mother of the baby, he was the father of the baby and he still stabbed her while she had the baby in her hands," said Jackson.
